#GlobalFrackdown: Thousands Rally Worldwide to Call for Moratorium on Fracking

The global day of action, Global Frackdown, was called for the third year in a row by Food and Water Watch. Hundreds of protestors joined together around Australia. In Alice Springs, for instance, scores of protestors entered Snow Kenna Park, decrying the devastation to land caused by fracking. “While the industry says it’s safe to drill through our aquifers, all of us know that it only takes one accident to pollute an aquifer — and what happens then?
